No. PSB/Staff/OSR/20O6/PSB/Staff/OSR/1982/5. — In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 19 read with
sub-section (2) of Section 12 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980 (40 of 1980),
the Board of Directors of the Punjab & Sind Bank in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India and with the previous
sanction of the Central Government hereby makes the following regulations further to amend Punjab & Sind Bank (Officers’)
ScrviceRegulations, 1982, namelyj

1. (1) These regulations may be called Punjab & Sind Bank (Officers’) Service Amendments Regulations, 2006.

(2) These regulations shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2, In the Punjab & Sind Bank (Officers’) Service Regulations, 1982, in regulation 5,-

(a) in sub-regulation (1), under clause (c), after the proviso and before the Note, the following proviso shall be
inserted, namely :

‘/Provided further that such increment/'s in the next higher seale/stagnation incrcment/s shall not be allowed to
an officer who refuses promotion when offered.”

(b) in sub-regulation (2) in clause (d) of the Explanation, after Note (ii). the following Note shall be inserted,
namely:

“(in) An Officer shall not be eligible for Professional Qualification Pay, as above, if he refuses to accept
promotion when offered.”
